Friends,

This forum is historic. It represents perhaps the first time in the last two decades that the public will be able to publicly hold politicians accountable specifically on critical criminal justice issues. Until now, there’s been virtually no public conversation, debate or accountability on these issues. Politicians have been allowed to remain silent.

It’s important to have a large turnout so that we send a message that these issues are of burning importance to New Yorkers. Sending that message can later translate into more support for/attention to our issues along the halls of power in Albany.

It will be a rare opportunity for the public and advocates to pose questions to public officials/candidates on criminal justice issues. (They can submit questions via Eventbrite in advance of the forum)
